BRIGHT EYES' PAL GETS TO WORK ON NEW CONCRETES ALBUM

Swedish pop sensations THE CONCRETES have started work on their new album.

The band are working on the follow-up to their 2004 eponymous debut with Mike Mogis, who is a producer for the Saddle Creek label and a member of Bright Eyes’ touring band.

According to Pitchfork Mogis, who records exclusively at his Presto! recording studio in Lincoln, Nebraska, has to Stockholm to produce The Concretes' record.

While he has worked with non-Saddle Creek bands before, this marks the first time Mogis has left his studio to record in a European studio with a European band.

The record is due for release in 2006.
