The Concretes have returned with their first new material since the departure of singer Victoria Bergsman.
Bergsman departed in July of last year, making a notable guest appearance on Peter, Bjorn and John’s single ’Young Folks’.
The band have posted a new single ’Kids’ on their Myspace site.
According to a posting “It is the first single from the upcoming album…The song is about Lisa (Milberg) and Maria (Erkisson) growing up, glued to the record player and over time developing an obsession with music, that much later resulted in this little pop group of ours…
“The single comes with three more songs but we’ll tell you about that in a fortnight!”
The band’s last release before Bergsman’s departure was 2006’s ’In Colour’.
