SIMPLY COOPER!

The band get back to their roots - and take the time to talk to NME.COM about their future plans...

completed a ‘secret’ tour of the UK last night (July 20) in LONDON.

The group have spent much of the week on the road playing in Bristol, Manchester and London - warming up for a US tour.

During the tour the band played material from both ‘See This Through And Leave’ and ‘Kick Up The Fire And Let The Flames Break Loose’, including old live favourite ‘Murder Song’.

The group also treated fans to two rare B-sides from their early singles titled ‘Not Quite Enough’ and ‘Safe Enough Distance’.

The boys were joined on stage by producer Dan Austin during the gigs. Dan will stand in for bassist Didz Hammond during the ’ time on the upcoming Curiosa tour. Didz is taking time off from the band to spend time with his new daughter Nico.

Frontman Ben Gautrey and Didz spoke to NME.COM about their stateside tour.

"We all really enjoyed tonight," Didz said, "as we’ve had a really serious week, what with practising and rehearsals and stuff. Playing in smaller UK venues again is amazing."

"We’re only playing for about half an hour in America," said Ben. "It’ll be mainly songs from ‘Kick Up The Fire...’ as that’s been released in America".

The band will fly to the States later in the week for the tour, which begins in West Tampa Beach, Florida on Saturday (July 24).
