Coral
triumphed at their one-day mini festival 'A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S SCREAM' at NEW BRIGHTON on THE WIRRAL near LIVERPOOL.

Headlining, they came on stage at 8.45pm, and played the highlights of their debut album as well as tracks from their new album 'Magic & Medicine' including brilliant version of new single 'Pass It On' which is was established as one of their finest along with 'Dreaming Of You'.

They ended with a ten minute version of 'Goodbye', which featured a swirling psychedelic improvisational middle section.

The gig itself was organised and put on by the band themselves in a big top by the sea. Support came from a Pete-less Libertines, who stormed through a full on 45 minute set, and The Thrills, whose sun-dappled LA-worshipping anthems belied the drizzle outside. Other support came from The Bees, The Basement and The Zutons.
