The Coral have announced details of their new album - plus a UK tour set to take place around its release.

The album, the band's sixth studio effort, will be named 'Butterfly House', and will be released on July 12.

The record will be their first full release without guitarist Bill Ryder-Jones, who departed the band following 2007 album 'Roots And Echoes'. The new album was recorded with producer John Leckie (The Stone Roses, Radiohead) in London's RAK Studios. See the new issue of NME, out tomorrow (April 21), for an exclusive interview and picture of the band.

A single, '1,000 Years', will be released on July 5.

The five-date tour kicks off in Birmingham on July 12.

The Coral will play:

Birmingham Alexandra Theatre (July 12)
London O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire (14)
Liverpool Philharmonic (15)
Salford Lowry (17)
Gateshead Sage (19)

Tickets go on sale on April 23 at 9.30am (BST). To check the availability of The Coral tickets and get all the latest listings, go to NME.COM/TICKETS now, or call 0871 230 1094.
