The Coral are to release an acoustic version of their latest album 'Butterfly House'.

The band, who played several acoustic shows to promote the LP earlier this year, recorded and mixed the new album in one day. It will be released on December 6.

Singer James Skelly said: "Everyone liked the acoustic gigs so much they asked us to record the songs in a more stripped-down version. We recorded and mixed the album in one day. Everything is live. The songs stand up really well and the album shows them in their raw form."

The Coral play London's Royal Albert Hall tonight (November 15).
