The Courteeners reveal album title and tracklisting

A big fan favourite has been left of the record…

The Courteeners have revealed that their debut album will be entled 'St Jude', and will be released on April 7.

The band's single 'Acrylic' – a firm fan favourite – has been left off the album.

Saint Jude himself, who the album is named after, is a Christian saint. He became known as the patron saint of lost causes as originally his name was confused with the Bible character of Judas, rendering devotion to him “a lost cause”.

The track-listing for 'St Jude' is:

'Aftershow'
'Cavorting'
'Bide Your Time'
'What Took You So Long?'
'Please Don't'
'If It Wasn't For Me'
'No You Didn't, No You Don't'
'How Come'
'Kings Of The New Road'
'Not Nineteen Forever'
'Fallowfield Hillbilly'
'Yesterday, Today'

hyped, hyped and hyped... Acrylic was their only good song, it did cause excitement, one of those where you like it, even if you dont want to like... but ive heard most of the songs on their new album.. they're average.

he's got a big mouth compares himself to morrissey and relies too much on our cities musical heritage... maybe if they challenged themselves a lot more, to get out of the post libertines shadow and try and expand on what MADE manchester so great a lot more people would be excited for this album.

excellent new band seen these guys three times and soon to be the fourth (sunday 10th w/ Babyshambles)
With 2 tracks from this tracklisting already released as singles, and with 'Not Nineteen Forever' set for a March 31st release, maybe the guys are planning to release further singles from this debut album.
If you havent already, check these lads out you may quite enjoy!

a bit strange they decided to leave it off the album,if their other songs were better then that might explain it.
