Courteeners can't believe they've made it to T In The Park

The Courteeners led mass chants of "here we fucking go!" at the NME/Radio 1 Stage at the T In The Park festival today (July 12).

The Manchester band, led by singer and guitarist Liam Fray, played hits including 'Cavorting' and 'Acrylic', and were treated to a rather unusual spectacle shortly into their set.

A proportion of the crowd and the band got a laugh when an intoxicated fan sprinted towards an advertising board to the left of the stage, leaped and landed sideways on the board dramatically, causing a huge clatter.

Later in the set, after the band played 'Acrylic', the front section of the crowd began to chant loudly.

"In case you can't hear them at the back," said Fray, "they're singing 'here we fucking go!'," prompting the rest of the crowd to join in the sing-a-long.

'Not Nineteen Forever' had the crowd bouncing and waving their hands towards the end of the set, while the band closed their show with an energetic version of 'What Took You So Long?'.

"Thanks so fucking much for coming," Fray said before the set ended. "If you had told us last year we would be playing here we wouldn't have believed you. We would have thought we'd be on the Main Stage."
