The Courteeners announce first US headline show

The band play one-off New York show ahead of supporting Morrissey

The Courteeners have revealed details of their first US headline show.

Liam Fray's band will play New York's Mercury Lounge - the venue made famous by The Strokes - on March 17.

The one-off date comes two days before The Courteeners head out on an 18-date tour across the US supporting Morrissey.

Speaking about the gigs, Fray said "I'm unhealthily excited for the tour. We really feel like we're at the top of our game at the minute. We feel like this is perfect timing. The stars are aligned."

The Courteeners play the following gigs:
