Sold out Bowery Ballroom crowd goes mental

The Cribs performed their biggest US headlining show to date last night (August 9) at Bowery Ballroom.

Following an opening slot from Foreign Islands, Brooklyn-based White Rabbits took to the stage for a set fraught with technical difficulties.

However, despite the band’s inability to hear what they were playing, the crowd went mad for the show, which featured tracks from their debut album ‘Fort Nightly’, including ‘Navy Wives’, ‘The Plot’ and ‘Take A Walk Around The Table’.

Opening with ‘MTV’, The Cribs set prompted over an hour of solid moshing, culminating in a fist-fight within the crowd. Guitarist Ryan Jarman halted the show saying "Am I going to have to come down there?", and took off his guitar.

However, Jarman remained onstage an acted as a peacemaker saying "We’re all on the same side, you know."

The show resumed, with performances of ‘Martell Miniatures’, ‘Mirror Kissers’ among others.

The Cribs continue their North American tour tonight with a show at Johnny Brenda's in Philadelphia, and will play Washington DC tomorrow before returning to New York for a show at Union Pool in Brooklyn on Sunday (August 12).

Their Bowery Ballroom setlist ran:

'MTV'
'Hey Scenesters!'
'Our Bovine Public'
'You’re Gonna Lose Us'
'Girls Like Mystery'
'I'm A Realist'
'Moving Pictures'
'I'm Alright Me'
'I've Tried Everything'
'Women’s Needs'
'Martell Miniatures'
'Men’s Needs'
'Mirror Kissers'
'Another Number'
'Ancient History'
'Wrong Way To Be'
