'Foundations' singer joins The Cribs in Leeds

Kate Nash is set to be the second surprise support act to join The Cribs during their Leeds residency at Brudenell Social Club tonight (December 20).

The singer follows Franz Ferdinand who NME.COM revealed were the last minute additions to the bill for the first of the band’s three night stand.

The Wakefield trio are playing all their albums in full over the gigs, and following yesterday’s performance of ’The Cribs’, they will play ’The New Fellas’ in full tonight – with their final album to follow tomorrow (December 21).

After the three-night residency, in aid of cystic fibrosis charities, The Cribs will have a very busy 2008 on the live front.

The band play the Shockwaves NME Awards Big Gig along with Manic Street Preachers, Kaiser Chiefs, Bloc Party and Klaxons on February 28 at the O2 Arena in London – get your tickets at NME.COM/biggig.
