Johnny Marr joined The Cribs on the Manchester leg of the Shockwaves NME Tour at the weekend, playing The Smiths'Panic' plus the Wakefield trio’s 'I'm A Realist' as part of the band’s headline set.

On the NME Office Blog now we’ve got live video footage of Marr and the band having a quick jam in their dressing room before the gig at Manchester Academy.

The clip sees Marr and Ryan Jarman playing guitar together, while drummer Ross Jarman can be heard in the background tapping his drumsticks to play along.

The tour continues tonight (February 4) at the Lincoln Engine Shed venue.

Johnny Marr is one of the best guitarists around, and the Jarman brothers are one of the best indie bands around. What a night that will be :)
