Shockwaves NME Awards Big gig unites The Smiths and Jarmans

Johnny Marr will join The Cribs for their entire set at the Shockwaves Awards NME Big Gig on Thursday night (February 28) at London’s O2 Arena.

The band are due to take the stage at 7pm (GMT) sharp, and will be followed by Klaxons, Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs and Manic Street Preachers.

Marr recently spent a week recording with the Jarman brothers, and has joined them on stage during various legs of the Shockwaves NME Awards Tour which ended in the Brixton Academy venue in the UK capital on Friday night (February 22).

As well as joining the band for rendition of songs by The Cribs, Marr has played renditions of The Smiths’ classic song, 'Panic', with the Jarmans.
