The Smiths' Johnny Marr is set to join The Cribs for the whole of their set at the Shockwaves NME Awards 2008 Big Gig.

Marr has been regularly performing on the last section of the band’s sets on the recent Shockwaves NME Awards Tour, and the guitarist will now join them for their whole set at London’s O2 Arena tomorrow night (February 28).

The Cribs take the stage at 7pm, and organisers are urging ticket holders to get to the venue in Greenwich in plenty of time so as not to miss the legend.

The set will be followed by performances from Klaxons, Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs and this year's Godlike Geniuses Manic Street Preachers.

The last few tickets are still available for the show, so head to to NME.COM/biggig to grab them.

Plus there will also be a special aftershow party featuring The Futureheads playing live in IndigO2. Don't miss it - tickets are onsale now.

To celebrate the Shockwaves NME Awards 2008, this week’s NME is a special Souvenir Box Set issue with a FREE covermount CD (featuring fourteen rare or exclusive covers). Manic Street Preachers, The Cribs, Kate Nash, Does it Offend you Yeah!, CSS and a load more. For more and preview tracks go to NME Awards CD souvenir page now.
