The Cribs showcase new songs with Johnny Marr

The Cribs have announced their first live dates of 2009.

The Wakefield band are set to hit the road next February, playing a series of small venues including London's Heaven (February 10).

The band say that the gigs will give them the chance to play fans new songs set to be included on their forthcoming album, which will be recorded after the tour.

The new material is also the band's first to be co-written by former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, who joined the band as a full-time member in 2008.

London Heaven (10)

Tickets for the gigs go on sale on December 12 at 9:30am.
