The Cribs' drummer Ross Jarman recorded his parts for the band's new album while playing with a broken wrist, it has been revealed.
Jarman didn't actually realise he had broken anything until after he had recorded his parts for the album, according to a statement released on behalf of the band.
Initially, the drummer thought the injury was simply a strain.
"News reaches us that the mishap prone quartet have just recorded most of the drum parts for the record with Ross Jarman playing through what he thought was a wrist sprain - after an incident involving a skateboard - but has actually proven to be a broken wrist, after scans came back confirming the diagnosis from the local hospital," the statement read.
It is not the first time a member of The Cribs has been injured while on band duties. In 2007, bassist Gary Jarman was treated for blood poisoning midway through The Cribs' UK tour, while brother Ryan Jarman regularly draws blood during shows.
The Cribs are in Los Angeles' Seedy Underbelly Studio with producer Nick Launay, working on the follow up to 2007 album 'Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever'.
The album will be their first with new member Johnny Marr.
