Johnny Marr has told NME Radio that The Cribs' forthcoming new album will be released this September.
You can listen to Marr chatting on Iain Baker's NME Radio show throughout the afternoon until 5pm (BST) this afternoon (May 29).
The duo are counting down the ultimate Manchester anthems, as voted for by NME.COM users, in celebration of NME Radio launching in the city.
Speaking of The Cribs' currently-untitled new album, recorded in New York, Marr said: "It's coming out on September 15, or 20 I think. And the single's out on September 7."
Marr may have meant September 14 or 21 - two Mondays in the month close to the dates he mentioned. He did not reveal the name of the single set for a September 7 release.
The Cribs are set for a UK tour this autumn.
