The Cribs' Ryan Jarman names new band
He has teamed up with friend Jen Turner in New York for new project
The singer and guitarist has been taking time out in New York to work on a new project with Jen Turner, formerly of Here We Go Magic.
Now, after a handful of shows, that have seen the pair support The Vaccines at the Bowery Ballroom, the band officially have a name
Jarman has previously told NME of the project: "The whole point of what we're trying to do is be very liberated, to be able to do what we want and live how we want – we live at the end of the day, we find we write better at the night, late at night or seven in the morning. That really adds a whole different feel to it. It suits both our characters better. We both live at the other end of the day anyway."
The duo are already believed to have completed an album after an intensive month of nocturnal sessions. The "experimental" record has seen the band track a brass section, and Jarman added: "A couple of the songs are more experimental. Jen's quite an experimental guitar player, but it's not even all guitar-led stuff."
Meanwhile, The Cribs return to the road next month for a mammoth UK tour that will see them play the following dates:

Oxford Academy 2 (23)
Norwich Waterfront (24)
