The Cribs have confirmed details of their first singles compilation album 'Payola', due for release in 2013.

The album will mark 10 years as a band for the Wakefield trio but is not a straightforward hits album, with some of the band's biggest songs left out in favour of fan favourites and album tracks. A full tracklisting can be seen below alongside the bonus 18 track B-sides and rarities disc which will be included with deluxe editions of 'Payola'. The album will also include new song 'Leather Jacket Love Song' as its final track.

Speaking about 'Payola', Ryan Jarman of the band told NME: "A lot of best of albums are just money for old rope, so we've tried to make this as special as possible." The act of assembling the compilation involved some long, drawn out emails, and some old-school techniques – bassist/singer Gary Jarman dubbed some nearly-final tracklists onto tape to make sure that it sounded right. "It definitely appealed to my OCD nature, to try and get everything in one place and make something cohesive," says the bassist. "We tracked down all our favourite photos from the last 10 years – which I hate doing, I hate looking at photos of myself. We had to be brutal," says Gary. "Like, we didn't put 'Moving Pictures' on there because, although it's a single, we don't feel it's one of our best songs."
