Ryan Jarman of The Cribs will perform his first ever UK gig with new band Exclamation Pony as part of the NME Awards Shows in February.

The singer and guitarist has been taking time out in New York to work on a new project with Jen Turner, formerly of Here We Go Magic. Exclamation Pony will perform at London venue Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen on February 19. Tickets for the gig go on sale at 9am tomorrow morning (Jan 9).

Jarman has previously told NME of the project: "The whole point of what we're trying to do is be very liberated, to be able to do what we want and live how we want – we live at the end of the day, we find we write better at the night, late at night or seven in the morning. That really adds a whole different feel to it. It suits both our characters better. We both live at the other end of the day anyway."

The 2013 NME Awards Shows take place in London throughout February and will also feature headline gigs from The Cribs, Everything Everything, Hurts, Tribes, Dinosaur Jr, Gabriel Bruce, Toy, Kodaline, Doldrums, Savages, Tim Burgess, Fiction, Fidlar and Jagwar Ma.
