The Cribs played a career-spanning, 90-minute set last night (February 22) at London's O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire as part of this month's series of NME Awards gigs.

Flanked by huge cut-outs of the flowers that adorn the cover of recent album 'In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull', the trio, who are currently gracing the cover of this week's magazine, stormed through a selection of cuts from all five of their previous records as well as recent track 'Leather Jacket Love Song'.

Opening with 'Back To The Bolthole', the band played a '...Brazen Bull' heavy early portion of the set, before calming things down with an acoustic rendition of rarely performed tracks 'Shoot The Poets' and 'It Was Only Love' - during which singer Ryan Jarman swung the microphone out to let the crowd lead the song.

The Cribs then continued with a host of old fan favourites including 'Mirror Kissers', 'Another Number' and 'Be Safe' before playing the entirety of '...Brazen Bull''s epic, intertwined, four-song finale and finishing up with usual set closer 'City of Bugs', with Ryan repeatedly throwing his guitar into his amp.

Earlier in the evening the band were supported by And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead..., Deap Vally and Radar favourites Drenge.

The Cribs played:

'Back To The Bolthole'
'Come On, Be A No-One'
'We Share The Same Skies'
'I'm A Realist'
'Glitters Like Gold'
'Jaded Youth'
'Cheat On Me'
'Leather Jacket Love Song'
'Shoot The Poets'
'It Was Only Love'
'Another Number'
'Be Safe'
'Our Bovine Public'
'Mirror Kissers'
'Hey Scenesters!'
'Like A Gift Giver'
'Arena Rock Encore With Full Cast'
'Men's Needs'
'City Of Bugs'

The Cribs are set to release a Best Of collection, 'Payola', on March 11. A companion piece to the album, 'Payola: The Demos' is presented free with this week's NME, which also features in-depth features with the band. The brothers will also be awarded the prestigious Outstanding Contribution to Music award at the NME Awards this Wednesday (February 27).
