Ryan Jarman of The Cribs has been admitted to hospital, the band have confirmed today (June 13).

A tweet sent from the Wakefield band's Twitter account this morning announced the news to fans. "Just to keep everyone in the picture - Ryan has been in hospital in NYC... send good thoughts." There is currently no further information on Jarman's condition.

The Cribs picked up this year's Teenage Cancer Trust Outstanding Contribution To Music award at The NME Awards 2013, which took place at its new home, Troxy, in east London on February 27. The band performed 'Mirror Kisses' on the night to celebrate their victory.

It was confirmed earlier this month (June) that The Cribs will perform as part of the Weezer Cruise in 2014 alongside Palma Violets, Ash, Cat Power and Weezer themselves.
