The Cribs to play tiny gig at London's Birthdays next Tuesday (Aug 27)

The band have also added a second 'Cribsmas 2' date for December 18

The Cribs are to play a one-off gig at the 280-capacity Dalston venue Birthdays next week (Aug 27).

The gig will mark the Wakefield trio's only confirmed London date for the imminent future and is being put on by London promoters Antidotes. Support acts are due to be announced in the coming week and tickets will go on sale at 10am tomorrow morning (Aug 21) via www.wegottickets.com.

Earlier this week, the Jarman brothers also announced a second 'old skool' night of December's 'Cribsmas 2' gigs. Following 2007's fondly remembered 'Cribmas' events – which saw the band play each of their first three albums in full across three nights at Leeds' Brudenell, alongside special guests and a host of added extras (including pint-pulling challenge 'Jarman v Barman') – The Cribs will host a 2013 installment of the festive gigs at Leeds Academy on December 18 and 19.

December 19 has already sold out, but the band have announced that December 18 is set to be an 'old skool only' night. Writing on their Facebook page, The Cribs stated: "Both shows will be separate special events, featuring different special guests and other surprises. People who have been to the prior 'Cribsmas' should have some idea of what to expect."
