The Crimea give new album away free

London band show generous side with free download

The Crimea give new album away free

The Crimea are giving away their second album, ‘Secrets Of The Witching Hour’, as a free download on May 13.

The rising stars are side-stepping convention by letting fans download the release - which features Regina Spektor and production from The Cure’s Dave Allen - free of charge.

See Thecrimea.net for more information.

A CD version will also be for sale on June 4, but the band hopes the wallet-friendly internet version will be the popular choice.

The plan is to forgo the usual sales revenue in the hope of increasing the band's popularity, and then make more money through touring and merchandise revenue.
