IN THE DARK OVER SUMMER SHOWS

But there won't be any festival appearances from The Darkness...

The Darkness have ruled out festival appearances this year – but JUSTIN HAWKINS has said he wants to play at the new WEMBLEY STADIUM.

The band are currently working on the follow-up to ’Permission To Land’, which is due this year.

Speaking to Radio 1, the singer ruled out live shows in the near future. Their only live appearance recently was at the Desert Rock Festival (March 25) at the Dubai Country Club in the United Arab Emirates.

He said: "We won't be doing any festivals. Things have changed now. A lot of the relentless touring was with a view to making people aware of us when they wouldn't have heard us on the radio.

"It's a very different game when you are in our position. There's a feverish anticipation. We're concentrating on the album, we're not going to do any live stuff, until it's out, then we'll see…I'm determined to play Wembley stadium, when it reopens."
