Expect the second album in October, but a solo single from Justin Hawkins first…
The Darkness are looking to release their new single and album in October, NME.COM can reveal.
The album, the band’s second and the follow-up to ’Permission To Land’ has been given a tentative release date of October 17, with their comeback single set for release on October 3.
During the sessions for the album, which have been partially recorded in Wales, the band have lost bassist Frankie Poullain.
Poullain left the group in March, claiming he was “forced out”. He was replaced by the band’s former guitar tech Richie Edwards.
In related news, singer Justin Hawkins and guitarist brother Dan are expected to join Queen on stage for two songs at their gig in London's Hyde Park next Friday (July 8).
