THE DATSUNS LED ALONG NEW PATH

The band begin work on their second album, with production coming from John Paul Jones...

The Datsuns have headed into the studio with LED ZEPPELIN’s JOHN PAUL JONES to begin work on the follow-up to last year's self-titled debut.

Jones will be producing the band's second album which will be recorded at Jacob's Studios in Surrey - made famous by , Radiohead, Ian Brown and Robbie Williams . Other bands who have recorded at the studio include British Sea Power, Hope Of The States, and [a][/a].

Speaking previously to NME.COM, the band's frontman Dolf de Datsun said: "It's going really well considering that we've been on the road for two years and had no time to write or rehearse.

"We've got eight songs written. It's a pretty much a rock and roll record but there's going to be songs on the new record that are actually older than the ones on the first album. We're ready to try out some of the old songs that we maybe didn't think worked live so we'll try and work on those in the studio."
