Jack White's new band The Dead Weather are set to make their UK debut at a secret London gig next week.

The band, which also features Alison Mosshart of The Kills, Dean Fertita of Queens Of The Stone Age and Jack Lawrence of The Raconteurs, will be appearing for a one-off live gig as it happens online as part of Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich's 'From The Basement' series on Monday (June 22) at 9pm (BST).

Tickets will not be available for the show, which will see the band perform tracks from their debut album 'Horehound'. Instead it will be screened live via the ftblive website, Ftblive.com, and on Nokia N97 phones.

It will also be broacast live across four independent record stores at Rough Trade in London, Piccadilly Records in Manchester, Avalanche Records in Glasgow and Rounder Records in Brighton.

Speaking about the event, Godrich told NME.COM: "Obviously Jack and Alison are amazing performers. I've not actually seen the band play live yet. But I think they're going to do a great show.

"We did The White Stripes for the pilot for the first show and it was incredible. Jack has always been supportive of the series because he gets it completely."

'From The Basement' has already delivered unique performances from Radiohead, Beck, Sonic Youth, Iggy Pop and Fleet Foxes.

Godrich confirmed that he is intending to upload every gig from the series on Ftblive.com soon.

The Dead Weather release 'Horehound' on July 13. Their first 'proper' gig takes place next Wednesday (June 24) at London Forum.
