New Dead Weather album due in April?

Jack White reveals he'll 'start mixing the album in the next two weeks'

Jack White has revealed that The Dead Weather's new album will be out in April.

Talking to Australian radio station Triple J, White gave an update on the follow-up to 2009's debut 'Horehound'.

"The Dead Weather are finishing recording the last couple of songs," White said. "I'm going to start mixing in the next two weeks, so yeah, it should be out in April."

As for the sound of the album, White added that the record was "bluesier and heavier than we ever thought we could be" and stated that the first single, 'Blue Blood Blues', would see him take on vocal duties, instead of Alison Mosshart.

As previously reported, The Dead Weather gave an update on the new album back in October, when they appeared live on NME Radio.

More more please, the last album was shit, so I can only imagine what the next one will be like. Get another White Stripes album out and make folk happy.

Can we have another Raconteurs album instead, they're Jack White's greatest creation in my opinion. The Dead Weather really aren't that good.
