The Decemberists auction off band items

The Portland rockers fundraise for charity

The Decemberists are auctioning off several items belonging to the band on eBay in an effort to raise money for charity.

Items in the auction include tour posters and passes, instruments and artwork, and other band-related paraphernalia.

The Portland quintet will donate the all of the proceeds from the auction to the p:ear charity in their hometown.

The Decemberists wrote on their website: “We urge you to bring this gift to Portland's homeless youth by donating generously in the auction. Your money will go directly to building a new music room for p:ear youth.”

The non-profit organisation serves homeless young people in the Portland area through creative programmes.
