The Decemberists for Central Park Summerstage
Portland band confirmed for outdoor show
The Decemberists have been confirmed to headline the Central Park Summerstage in July with support from Grizzly Bear.
The Portland, Oregon band have been touring extensively to promote their late 2006 release ‘The Crane Wife’. As previously reported [url=http://www.nme.com/index.php?class=article&id=27255&key=0243e0bcaabef6b4648cb34d955444ee, ]here[/url] they have contributed to 'Bridging the Distance: A Portland, OR Covers Compilation' alongside Death Cab For Cutie's Christopher Walla and The Dandy Warhols. The album will be released April 17.
Currently on tour in the US, The Decemberists plays the first of two nights at Avalon in Boston tonight (March 23).
