The Decemberists unveil special tour

The Portland band will make their orchestral debut
The Decemberists have announced a five-city summer tour on which the band will be joined by a symphony orchestra in each city.
The shows will feature brand-new orchestral arrangements of The Decemberists’ songs composed by Sean O’Loughlin and will take place in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Baltimore, Philadelphia and Chicago.
The tour calls at:
Los Angeles, CA - Hollywood Bowl, with LA Philharmonic (July 7)
Atlanta, GA - Chastain Park, with Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (13)
Columbia, MD - Merriweather Post Pavilion, with Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (14)
Philadelphia, PA - Mann Center, with the Mann Festival Orchestra (15)
Chicago, IL - Grant Park Music Festival at Pritzker Pavilion, with Grant Park Orchestra (18)
The band will also play the following shows this summer:
Manchester, TN – Bonnaroo Music Festival (June 17)
New York City, NY - Central Park Summerstage (July 16)
Portland, OR - Edgefield Winery (22)
The have also confirmed a European tour including shows in the UK in September and October.
