Doors pick up lifetime acheivement Grammy
Joan Baez and The Grateful Dead also honoured
Classic rock outfit The Doors and folk veteran Joan Baez have been awarded Grammy awards for lifetime achievement.
The awards, presented on the eve of tonight's main event, also saw The Grateful Dead and soul band Booker T and The MGs amongst the other recipents.
' guitarist Robby Krieger said the band's late singer, Jim Morrison, would have been "very honoured" to be recognised.
"People think he was anti-establishment, but in reality he wanted to be bigger than the Beatles," he said.
