DOORS OPEN (AGAIN)

The 30th anniversary of the death of THE DOORS legend JIM MORRISON is to be commemorated on RADIO 2 next month.

Morrison died of a heart attack on July 3, 1971 at the age of 27. To commemorate his passing, unheard interviews with bandmembers Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger will be broadcast on the station as part of a new documentary told by veteran DJ Johnnie Walker.

Other contributions come from Danny Sugerman and Jerry Hopkins, the co-writers of the Morrison biography 'No One Here Gets Out Alive'.

The program will be aired on July 7 between 8-9pm.
