KCRW cancels benefit concert 'A Sounds Eclectic Evening'
The Duke Spirit October 2005
The Duke Spirit, KD Lang were due to perform
Los Angeles radio station KCRW has announced the cancellation of its annual 'A Sounds Eclectic Evening' benefit concert, due to scheduling conflicts.
The Duke Spirit and KD Lang were among the performers announced for the seventh annual event, which was to be held at Los Angeles' Gibson Amphitheatre on October 12.
KCRW Music Director Nic Harcourt explained the reason for the cancellation in a statement, saying: "We've always had a high standard for the bands we've invited to play this concert and changing the date to fall - at the end of the summer festival season - proved to be a bigger hurdle than we were expecting," he said.
Instead, the radio station has announced that Lang will perform on the same date at the Malibu Performing Arts Center as part of their KCRW Sessions series.
