Editors have announced that they will release their sophomore album, 'An End Has A Start', in the US on July 17.
The follow-up to 'The Back Room' comes out in the UK on June 25, as previously reported. It was produced by Bloc Party producer Jacknife Lee.
Frontman Tom Smith said of the new album: “There is a lot of death on the record, that sounds pretty morbid but it’s the truth."
He added, "Death has touched me and my friends in the last year in several ways. Realizing everything comes to an end is important and I think we’ve done our best to make it something glorious and uplifting as well as scary.”
The tracklisting of the US release is identical to the UK version. It is:
'Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors'
'An End Has A Start'
'The Weight Of The World'
'Bones'
'When Anger Shows'
'The Racing Rats'
'Push Your Head Towards The Air'
'Escape The Nest'
'Spiders'
'Well Worn Hand'
The band are expected to announce the dates of a US tour beginning in September.
