The Enemy performed an intimate gig in London last night (April 23) even though bassist Andy Hopkins was suffering with a serious injury.

Announcing from the stage at the start of an exclusive Virgin Radio gig at the Coronet Theatre, singer Tom Clarke paid tribute to his bandmate who vowed to carry on despite having to play with a broken finger.

"Andy has broken his hand but he's still playing the gig so fair fucks to him," Clarke told the audience.

The band then tore into hit single '40 Days And 40 Nights' in front of a small crowd of competition winners before going on to play new single 'Away From Here' along with forthcoming album track 'Pressure'.

The Enemy played:

'40 Days And 40 Nights'
'Away From Here'
'Pressure'
'Techno'
'Aggro'
'It's Not OK'
'Not Alone'
'On And Off'

Earlier, unsigned acts The Fatels and Red Vinyl Fur played short sets for the select audience.

The show will go out on Virgin Radio Xtreme at 8pm tonight (April 24).

The Enemy's new single 'Away From Here' is out now.
