The Enemy re-opened the London venue Proud tonight (April 3) with a short acoustic set.

The venue shut last year due to redevelopment at its original location in Camden.

Much like The Enemy's Union Chapel performance last November, the Coventry trio drafted in a string quartet while they sat on stools for their 20-minute gig at the Horse Hospital in the Stables Market, close to Proud's previous location.

Watched by members of The Rascals, The View and Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong, the band kicked off the short set with 'It's Not OK'.

Following a raucous performance from Lethal Bizzle, singer Tom Clarke promised to take proceedings "down a notch" before he joked: "Its madness in here, the queue for the toilets is about a mile long!"

The band, who have just come off the back of a record-breaking six-night residency at the London Astoria, also threw in a cover of T-Rex's 'Cosmic Dancer' after playing a handful of singles from their debut 'We'll Live And Die In These Towns'.

The Enemy played:

'It's Not OK'
'This Song'
'You're Not Alone'
'Cosmic Dancer'

Earlier, Lethal Bizzle whipped the crowd into a frenzy for hit singles 'Pow! (Forward)', and 'Police On My Back' before wrapping up his set with a medley, which included a cover of House Of Pain's 'Jump Around'.

Babyshambles bassist Drew McConnell opened the night fronting his new five-piece side project Helsinki.

As well as performing a jazz version of his full-time band's single 'Delivery', McConnell also covered Manu Chao's 'Lagrimas De Oro' and threw in an organ-driven instrumental.

Further DJ support came from Friendly Fires, Nick Grimshaw and NME DJs.

Proceeds from the opening night are set to go towards the areas worst affected by the Camden fire in February.
