Tom Clarke and co play giant show in Coventry

The Enemy played the first of two homecoming gigs last night (April 5), in front of a sold-out crowd at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

The trio played an hour-long set, which saw them include a cover of the Sex Pistols' 'God Save The Queen'.

Introducing the cover, which has featured on the band's current tour, frontman Tom Clarke, told the crowd: "I want to see everyone dancing mental to this!"

The band also olayed new song 'Sing When You're In Love/Sing When You're Out Of Love', after which Clarke declared: "I can't tell you how much this means to me, to be playing at the Ricoh."

The Enemy played:

'It's Not OK'
'40 Days And 40 Nights'
'Pressure'
'Had Enough'
'Aggro'
'We'll Live And Die In These Towns'
'Song About You'
'Away From Here'
'Sing When You're In Love/Sing When You're Out Of Love'
'Happy Birthday Jane'
'God Save The Queen'
'You're Not Alone'

The trio will round off their residency - and their UK tour - at the Ricoh, home of Coventry City Football Club, with a second gig tonight.

Saw them at Reading last year and when they supported the sterophonics in Cardiff and didnt think it could get much better, by god how was I wrong! This has to be by far the best gig I went to! From the momment they swaggered on stage, you knew it was a night to remember. From the emotional momment of the crowd singing "we'll live and die in these towns" to screaming the words to their amazing cover of "God save the queen", these guys kept the atmosphere electric....Cov should be proud of these boys
