The Enemy frontman suffers injury at Lollapalooza The Enemy Tickets

'There was fucking blood everywhere' says Tom Clarke

The Enemy frontman Tom Clarke sliced off the end of his finger at Chicago's Lollapalooza this weekend.

It was the band's very first American gig, and Clarke said he soldiered on through the set despite his injury.

"I managed to slash the end off my finger playing guitar there was fucking blood everywhere," he told NME.COM.

"The doctor looked at it after the set and said I'd have to miss a couple of gigs. I said I'd miss one but I'm not missing LA."

The band were forced to cancel their appearance at the Osheaga Festival in Montreal yesterday (August 5), but are going ahead with their first-ever gig in Los Angeles at the Troubadour tonight.

"I don't really care if my finger's pissing blood--it's not the end of the world, it's an occupational hazard," he said.

I aint keen on thier music, but they seem proper sound lads and really respect everything they have acheived, like it hasn't gone to their heads.... I think this guy is an excellent role model to even younger bands, not maybe his music but his attitude

hes not a great frontman. hes an ugly talentless jam/oasis knock-off, but nowhere near as good.

Stop giving him grief; at least he's got a pair of bollocks, unlike the majority of modern 'stars'.If you don't like him, go and piss your beds whilst listening to Snow Patrol.

I was in the front row, about five feet from him, at the show, and I would hardly saw he was "pissing blood everywhere." He nicked his finger. Big deal. Plus the band only played 30 minutes. An unimpressive first show in America.

Why, if you dont like The Enemy or Tom Clarke come into an article relating them? Why are you wasting your time just slagging him off, if you dont like him dont comment? Perhaps he is abit cocky and arrogant, but thats a typical frontman for you and i think its great! These guys are so good live, put everything into every single performance! If you took off your blinkers you might actually notice. I dont see why you would slag him for this article, hes saying he doesnt want to miss any dates in his tour...He doesnt want to let the fans down! If it was one of your favorite bands then im sure ud love them to just pull out of the tour without any questions asked? Stop being pathetic. Toms a good, down to earth lad along with Liam & Andy some people just love to talk rubbish all day long!

Lots of cockholes slagging them off on here. Probably a load of Coldplay fans who stay at home loving that nice safe music. They are young lads with something to say. Paul Weller has given them his blessing - enough said.On top of all that they are lucky enough to come out of the greatest city in the world.
