The Enemy's Tom Clarke has said that reports that he had said that Oasis were "past it" are "bollocks".
Oasis' singer Liam Gallagher called Clarke a "little fucker" after interpreting an interview by Clarke as the Coventry-born frontman slagging off the Manchester outfit.
However, in a statement issued today (May 20) Clarke has claimed that he didn't criticise the band.
"That's complete and utter bollocks!" he said in the statement, referring to Gallagher's interpretation. "Oasis have been and still are one of my favourite bands ever. It's an absolute honour for them to invite us onto their tour, I can't wait! Oasis past it? Not a fuckin' chance!"
The Enemy are set to support Oasis at various UK stadium dates this summer, kicking off on June 4 at Manchester's Heaton Park.
