The Fall have announced that they will release a brand new album in May.

The Manchester post punks will put out their 30th studio album 'Re-Mit' on May 15. It follows the group's 2011 LP ' Ersatz GB', which Mark E Smith recently said he wasn't satisfied with, promising that it's follow-up would be stronger.

When asked in an interview if there were any songs by The Fall he was personally not fond of, the singer replied: "Yeah. The last album, actually. I don't like any of them. You've got to be honest for the fans." He added: "I would say five songs on the last record were bad, but I will make it up... 'Re-Mit' is going to terrify people. It's quite horrible. The Fall have had enough and we're coming for you."

The tracklisting to 'Re-Mit' is as follows:

'No Respects (instrumental)?'
'Sir William Wray?'
'Kinder Of Spine?'
'Noise?'
'Hittite Man?6'
'Pre-MDMA Years?'
'No Respects rev.?'
'Victrola Time'?
'Irish?'
'Jetplane?'
'Jam Song?'
'Loadstones'

The Fall have also announced tour dates for later on in the year. They will play:

Glasgow O2 ABC (May 7)
York, Fibbers (May 9)
Liverpool, East Village Art Club (May 10)
Hebden Bridge, The Traders Club (May 12)
Norwich, The Waterfront (May 15)
London, The Clapham Grand (May 15)
London, The Clapham Grand (May 17)
Cardiff, The Globe (May 22)
Bristol, The Trinity Centre (May 23)
Falmouth, Princes Pavilion (May 24)
