St Etienne, Grandmaster Flash, The Fall for Beachdown Festival 2009
Brighton festival is set to take place this summer
The first few acts have been announced for 2009's Beachdown Festival.
St. Etienne, Grandmaster Flash, The Fall and The Blockheads are all set to play the bash, which takes place on the South Downs near Brighton between August 28 and 31.
Other confirmed acts include Gilles Peterson, The Sugarhill Gang, James Taylor Quartet and Secret Affair.
'Early bird' tickets for the event are on sale now through beachdownfestival.com.
The festival has also announced the first wave of local acts set to play. They include Drookit Dogs, Sweet Sweet Lies, Gloria Cycles and The Perils.
