FLAMING GOOD REPLACEMENT FOR WHITE STRIPES!
White Stripes
will be replaced by the Flaming Lips this weekend at Scotland's T IN THE PARK and Ireland’s WITNNESS festival.

As reported on NME.COM earlier today (July 11), White Stripes frontman Jack White was injured in a road accident two days ago (July 9), causing the cancellation of the shows. He has a compound fracture of the index finger on his left hand. Old buddies Flaming Lips are happy to stand in. They move to the Main Stage from the King Tut's stage at T (July 12) and will now perform just before David Gray at Punchestown Racecourse just outside Dublin on July 13.

The full extent of Jack White's injuries have not yet been revealed, though it almost certain the crash will keep him out of action for at least a month, scratching a huge US tour that was due to start on July 19 and throwing doubt on the band's performance at The Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds at the end of August.
