There will be lions in it as well

The Flaming Lips’ frontman Wayne Coyne has revealed he’ll be dressing up as an evil king in the band’s new video – and there will be lions involved too.

The group will shoot the promo for forthcoming single ‘The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song’ in Los Angeles at the end of the month with director/collective Traktor, who were responsible for Basement Jaxx's acclaimed ‘Where's Your Head At?’ video, as well as Madonna's ‘Die Another Day’.

Coyne told MTV he’s looking forward to the opportunity to do something wacky – but he’s a bit concerned about the kings of the jungle.

He said of Traktor: "They've done some marvellously crazy videos, and the treatment they sent me has me dressed up as an evil king, and at one point I have a lion on a chain.

"And they have real animals in their videos, so that excited me to no end, to be able to work with an actual lion. I just hope I don't get mauled or anything like that."

The tracklisting for the LP, which is out on April 3, is as follows:

‘The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song’
‘Free Radicals’
‘The Sound of Failure/ It's Dark ... Is It Always This Dark??’
‘My Cosmic Autumn Rebellion’
‘Vein of Stars’
‘The Wizard Turns On ...’
‘It Overtakes Me/ The Stars Are So Big, I Am So Small ... Do I Stand a Chance?’
‘Mr. Ambulance Driver’
‘Haven't Got a Clue’
‘The WAND’
‘Pompeii Am Gotterdammerung’
‘Goin' On’
