Wayne Coyne and co. set to release film in November

The Flaming Lips are to release their long-awaited feature film, 'Christmas On Mars', on DVD on November 11 in the US.

A special edition of the film, which will previewed at screenings in the USA in the near future, will come packaged with a soundratck CD of original Flaming Lips music, reports Pitchfork.

In addition to the 86-minute feature, the DVD will include special features, including band interviews and a featurette focusing on the development of the film.

The tracklisting for the 'Christmas On Mars' soundtrack will be:

'The Distance Between Mars and the Earth - Part One'
'The Horrors of Isolation: The Celestial Dissolve, Triumphant Hallucination, Light Being Absorbed'
'In Excelsior Vaginalistic'
'Your Spaceship Comes From Within'
'Suicide and Extraordinary Mistakes'
'The Distance Between Mars And The Earth - Part Two'
'The Secret of Immortality: This Strange Feeling, This Impossible World'
'The Gleaming Armament of Marching Genitalia'
'The Distress Signals of Celestial Objects'
'Space Bible With Volume Lumps'
'Once Beyond Hopelessness'

Sounds, like, far out and cosmic, man. Are they planning a tour to promote the film/cd? Presumably, this will be on Mars itself? The great gig in the sky. I will be eagerly watching e-bay for forthcoming front-row tickets.
