Flaming Lips to curate All Tomorrow’s Parties New York

Wayne Coyne and co are latest band to come on board

The Flaming Lips have been confirmed to curate the final day of All Tomorrow’s Parties New York, taking place in September 2009.

The festival has already announced that Friday (September 11) will be a ’Don’t Look Back’ and comedy day, with Dirty Three performing Ocean Songs and Suicide performing their 1977 first self-titled LP. A comedy line-up is being curated by David Cross.

The Saturday line-up so far consists of Animal Collective, Antipop Consortium, Atlas Sound, Autolux, Black Dice and Panda Bear, while the last day will feature a performance by curators The Flaming Lips, with the remainder of the day yet to be announced.

All Tomorrow’s Parties New York 2009 will take place from September 11-13 at Kutshers Country Club in Monticello, NY.

There are two types of tickets on-sale: first tickets without accommodation, and second tickets with accommodation at either Kutshers or the nearby Raleigh Hotel. DJs organised by ATP will perform nightly at the Raleigh.
