The Fratellis cancel US dates

The Fratellis have cancelled a string of dates in North America, complaining of exhaustion.

The band, who performed at the Coachella Festival in California last week, were due to appear in Sacramento, Salt Lake City, Denver and Arizona, but have had to ditch all shows up to May 13.

Barry Fratelli told the Daily Record, “I’m afraid we’re knackered, plain and simple, and need some time to recharge.

“We love playing gigs, we are not in the habit of cancelling shows unless there is no other choice and unfortunately this is the case."

The trio’s next scheduled gig is at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Preston on May 19. They are due back in the US in July.
