STARS GET TOGETHER FOR CHARITY The Futureheads Tickets

A new compilation featuring a whole host of stars aims to raise money for the people of Western Sudan...

ASH, Jet and REM are among artists contributing to a new charity compilation.

Available from today, ‘Songs For Sudan’ aims to raise money for Oxfam’s appeal to help the people of Darfur, Western Sudan.

Also featured are Badly Drawn Boy, and Roots Manuva. Badly, aka Damon Gough, said: “Men, women and children are still dying every day in Sudan. People like us might not have the power to stop the violence but at least we can try and help the people who are affected by it. Oxfam is already saving lives, the least we can do is help them to save more.”

All artists and royalties donating tracks are forgoing royalties, meaning that £5 from the £7.99 purchase price will go directly to the Oxfam Sudan appeal – enough to provide 15 people with clean drinking water.

In order to maximise the amount of money that going to the needy, the album is available as a download only from bignoisemusic.com
