The Futureheads play intimate Oxegen gig

The Futureheads have performed an intimate impromptu gig at Ireland's Oxegen festival.

The four-piece, who were watched from the side of the stage by Hard-Fi, played a 20 minute set in front an audience of just 100 fans in the site's MTV tent.

The gig was a warm up before their full show in The Green Room later today.

The band played a short set peppered with tracks from their two albums including 'Decent Days And Nights', 'Fall Out', 'Favours For Favours', hit single 'Skip To The End', and one-off single 'Area'.

But the biggest cheer was reserved for Kate Bush cover 'Hounds Of Love', which had the crowd bellowing their howling intro throughout the track.

The set provided light relief for the few fans who managed to get in from the pouring rain.

Up to 80,000 festival goers are descending on the two day Irish festival.
